― Proposing a new lifestyle utilizing characters born from NFTs in the Web3 era ―

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and COO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter "CCC") and Bucket Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Bucket"), which operates the NFT-driven IP "CNP (CryptoNinja Partners)," have entered into a basic agreement to launch joint projects and other initiatives. Aiming to propose a new lifestyle in the Web3 era that utilizes these NFT-born characters, both companies will work together to deliver surprising and inspiring projects and services.

Bucket was launched as a project within NinjaDAO, one of Japan's largest NFT communities, with the theme of "creating new relationships between characters and fans," and released 22,222 NFTs in May 2022. Over the 11 months following its release, the total transaction volume of secondary sales surpassed 11,500 ETH^*4 (approximately 3.22 billion JPY as of April 15, 2023).

Specific initiatives include developing smartphone applications, building exclusive benefit websites for NFT holders, and creating metaverse platforms.^*5 We are also focusing on expanding business operations beyond the traditional boundaries of NFT projects, such as developing virtual spaces within cities, creating free games and manga, and collaborating with local governments to promote regional culture through initiatives like hometown tax donation (Furusato Nozei) gift packages.

The CCC Group possesses retail store platforms such as TSUTAYA, large-scale database and analytical capabilities regarding over 70 million T-members' purchasing data, and a wide range of expertise and networks in the entertainment content industry held by our group companies.

Through this agreement, we will combine CCC's strengths—including its vast database, know-how, expertise, and networks across a broad spectrum of entertainment fields such as music, video, books, magazines, and art, as well as its physical network of over 1,000 stores nationwide, including TSUTAYA and TSUTAYA BOOKS—with Bucket's deep expertise in NFTs and its IP "CNP." By leveraging these synergies, we will propose a new lifestyle centered on NFT-born characters in the Web3 era.

Under our corporate mission, "A company that creates cultural infrastructure," CCC will collaborate with Bucket, a pioneer of the Web3 era's characters, to deliver surprising and inspiring projects and services.
