Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Takahashi Yoshinori; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") has reopened the Garden Lounge and 4th Lounge of Umeda Tsutaya Books, which opened in 2015, as the largest SHARE LOUNGE in the Kansai region on Friday, June 9, 2023.

Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore opened in May 2015 with the theme of "a place to discover new work styles."Aimed at adults who enjoy the sophisticated lifestyle that can only be found in the city, we have been offering high-quality time and space through books carefully selected by our concierges and events that stimulate intellectual curiosity.

With work styles becoming more diverse, customer needs for working in more inspiring environments, and a renewed appreciation for the importance of interpersonal communication, Umeda Tsutaya Books has renovated its Garden Lounge and 4th Lounge into the SHARE LOUNGE, aiming to further deepen its proposals for new work styles and new communication spaces.

"SHARE LOUNGE" opened in November 2019 at TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Shibuya Scramble Square with the concept of "a place where ideas are born and shared."This space combines the functionality of a shared office with the comfort of a lounge, and with the COVID-19 pandemic bringing major changes to working styles, it has gained support from customers and expanded its stores both domestically and internationally, with the app having been downloaded more than 140,000 times. (As of June 9, 2023: 22 domestic stores (including Umeda), 2 overseas stores, and 10 affiliated stores)

The newly renovated "SHARE LOUNGE" at Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore features two lounge areas: the "Garden Area" and the "Sky Area."

The "Garden Area (81 seats)" is a lounge located in the center of the store, equipped with box seats that can accommodate up to six people and plenty of seating that can accommodate multiple people, and can be used not only as a workplace but also as a relaxing cafe and bar.

The other "Sky Area (95 seats, including private rooms)" has window seats with a spectacular view of JR Osaka Station from directly above, as well as two private rooms, which can be used when you want to concentrate on work, participate in an online meeting, or just want to relax and enjoy a book.

The SHARE LOUNGE will feature approximately 2,000 books carefully selected by the concierge of Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore under the theme of "Inspiring Bookshelves," which can be freely browsed. Surrounded by books that inspire ideas and featuring carefully selected furniture, we offer a high-quality, comfortable space that customers can use however they like.

In the future, Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore SHARE LOUNGE will also host a variety of events, aiming to become a starting point for communication through real-life contact between the diverse customers who gather at Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore, including office workers in the Kita-ku area of Osaka City.

1. A cafe and workspace boasting one of the largest seating capacities in Umeda
We have 176 seats (total of 2 areas), including private rooms, making us one of the largest in Umeda, and with carefully selected furniture, you can enjoy a high-quality and comfortable time.

2: Available from 8:30am to 9pm
Mornings are a time of year when creativity and intellectual productivity are at their peak.
Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore SHARE LOUNGE will be open from 8:30am and we look forward to seeing you there. In the evening, you can enjoy your time after work with a drink in hand until 9pm. (*Different from Lucua 1100 opening hours)

3. A space that can be used freely for business, as a cafe, or to take a break while shopping
We have a variety of seating options to suit your needs. For those who want to concentrate on work, study, or reading, there are single seats, while those who want to enjoy conversation can use the booth seats or sofa seats. We also have private rooms available for meetings, business negotiations, girls' nights, etc.
In addition, all seats in the SHARE LOUNGE are available for web conferencing.

4: Free drinks and snacks provided
You can enjoy as much juice, coffee, and other drinks as you like, as well as nuts, snacks, soft serve ice cream, and other foods. Alcohol plans are also available.

5: "Inspiring" bookshelf carefully selected by the concierge
The SHARE LOUNGE has a carefully selected collection of approximately 2,000 books, based on the concept of an "inspirational bookshelf," which can be freely browsed, including "inspirational books" that spark ideas and stimulate the imagination, and "hint books" that offer insight into the wisdom of our predecessors.

6. A convenient app for reservations and smart check-in/check-out
Reservations can be made using the official "SHARE LOUNGE" app from two weeks in advance (14 days in advance) up to 15 minutes before the start time of use. You can also register your credit card on the app, make a reservation through the app, and check in and make payment by holding the QR code over a dedicated terminal installed in the store. Your payment will be automatically settled by credit card upon check-out.
