Based on this basic agreement, the two companies have selected three main areas of collaboration: "creation of new mobility services," "collaboration in data marketing to expand ZEVs," and "development and expansion of a global EV experience platform." They will proceed with the full-scale deployment of related collaboration models in each area.

・Leveraging the strategic assets of both companies, the companies will cooperate to lead the ZEV lifestyle and develop joint services.

As the global market for ZEVs rapidly expands in order to realize a "carbon-free society," one of the environmental issues that must be addressed on a global scale, including the global environment and climate change, new values regarding cars are beginning to take hold among consumers, and mobility lifestyles are facing a major transformation.

In this context, Hyundai has adopted "Progress for Humanity" as its brand vision and is proposing a lifestyle in which everyone can live a more sustainable life by offering clean mobility as a new means of transportation, in order to pave the way for an environmentally and climate-friendly future. On the other hand, CCC is a company that creates cultural infrastructure. With this mission in mind, we are creating a "cultural infrastructure" - an environment that makes people and the world more fun and happy - by continually proposing new lifestyles to people who have their own "My Style" through TSUTAYA, Tsutaya Bookstores, and big data from 130 million people (valid IDs) in response to the changing times and our lifestyles.

Hyundai and CCC share a common brand concept and mission of "lifestyle proposals." Looking ahead to a new era in which economic, social, and environmental sustainability are required, the two companies have decided to collaborate, leveraging the strengths of both companies to promote "a new lifestyle through ZEVs" in Japan, with an eye toward further global expansion. This will enable both companies to more concretely promote the realization of "lifestyle proposals" and "sustainable society," which are both important to them.

■Creating new mobility services
Hyundai's car sharing service, "MOCEAN," will be launched at Daikanyama T-SITE (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on Friday, June 23rd, for culturally sensitive and environmentally conscious customers who visit Tsutaya Bookstore and TSUTAYA. This service allows you to use Hyundai's EV, the IONIQ 5, and a dedicated charger. Hyundai will also be offering the MOCEAN in Yokohama and Okinawa from 2022.

In the future, we will also jointly explore the realization of a new lifestyle "mobility" x "shared lounge" service, in which customers of "SHARE LOUNGE," a space developed by CCC that combines the functionality of a shared office with the comfort of a lounge, will be able to use "IONIQ 5" as a private space for movement, just like a lounge. In addition, we will consider expanding "MOCEAN" to other locations operated by CCC.

The two companies will mutually utilize the data accumulated in the course of operating the service, and will work together to continuously develop mobility services and create new business plans that utilize mobility services.

Collaboration in data marketing to expand ZEVs
Going forward, Hyundai and CCC will use the big data held by the CCC Group to identify potential partners in building a new sustainable era, such as people who are interested in sustainable living, who care about protecting the natural environment, and who live their lives with an awareness of social issues. Hyundai and CCC will then engage in data marketing aimed at proposing new lifestyles in the ZEV era, while engaging in various forms of communication based on Hyundai's brand concept. We also plan to develop services that combine online and offline experiences at Tsutaya bookstores and TSUTAYA stores across Japan, allowing people to experience the new values of ZEVs.

Hyundai is accelerating its digital transformation in the Japanese market through online sales. By proactively utilizing CCC's data science and lifestyle planning capabilities, we will provide customized CX journeys tailored to customer needs while managing customer data more precisely and with greater sophistication.

■Development and expansion of a global EV experience platform
We will develop an EV experience platform within Hyundai's global brand bases and promote global expansion. For example, the two companies plan to work together to propose content that allows customers to experience the world of EVs in brand spaces such as the "Hyundai Motorstudio" currently operating in Korea and overseas, and to roll out EV experiences in richer spaces globally, primarily in Japan, as well as in East Asia and ASEAN countries.

"We hope that the collaboration between a mobility company and a content company will create new possibilities through various initiatives," said Jang Jae-hoon, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company. In particular, we will build a differentiated Hyundai brand image by promoting the CCC, which plans new lifestyles through thorough analysis of customer preferences, and the ZEV culture that Hyundai is pursuing."

CCC's President and COO, Takahashi Yoshinori, said, "As a lifestyle proposal company, CCC has contributed to the creation of various lifestyles in Japan. Currently, as the global environment changes and consumer values change dramatically, the concept of sustainability is beginning to permeate "car life."We share Hyundai's philosophy and values and will continue to work together on this project. Through this, we hope to propose a new ZEV lifestyle to our customers, promote their well-being, and take social action toward zero emissions on a global scale. ” he said.

(*) ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) is a general term for electric vehicles (EVs) and fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs) that do not emit exhaust gases such as carbon dioxide while driving.
