Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Takahashi Yoshinori; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") opened voting for the 7th annual "TSUTAYA Comic Awards, chosen by everyone" on Monday, July 10th.

This award is the only manga award that determines the next big hit, the "next breakout," comic work, solely through reader votes. The purpose is to suggest new recommendations from readers to readers.
The "TSUTAYA Comic Awards Chosen by Everyone" has attracted attention, with the 5th Grand Prize winner, "My Dangerous Wife," and the 6th Grand Prize winner, "Yamada-kun and the Level 999 Love Sourcing," both being made into TV anime in April this year. All previous Grand Prize winners have also been made into TV anime, and this award allows comic fan users to be the first to know about the next big hits.
Furthermore, after the announcement of the award, last year's Grand Prize winner, "Yamada-kun and the Level 999 Love Story," saw a significant increase in sales at Tsutaya Bookstore and TSUTAYA, with comic book sales increasing by 212.8% and comic book rentals increasing by 283.8%.
This is the seventh time the event has been held, and the event will be hosted by BookLive (https://booklive.jp/) and has decided to hold the event as a joint project.
This year, we will once again conduct a rigorous screening of the titles that received the most votes and announce the "BookLive Award," which will select the works that are particularly popular among BookLive readers.
The Grand Prize winner and the winners of each category will be announced at an awards ceremony scheduled to be held in late September, and will be widely displayed in the book sales and rental comic section of Tsutaya Bookstores and TSUTAYA stores nationwide.
In addition, we will be running a campaign in which 10 readers who vote will be entered into a lottery to win 3,000 TSUTAYA-exclusive T points (※).

Overview of the 7th TSUTAYA Comic Awards
・Voting conditions for works: Unfinished manga works with up to 5 volumes published as of June 30, 2023
・How to vote: After logging in to the TSUTAYA app, select up to 5 titles from the voting form and vote.

・Voting period...July 10th (Monday) to August 20th (Sunday), 2023
- Counting method: The number of votes from users will be added to the number of votes from TSUTAYA bookstore staff nationwide, and the work with the most votes will be awarded the Grand Prize, followed by 2nd place to 10th place.
・Results will be announced at the awards ceremony in late September 2023
TSUTAYA Limited T Point Gift Campaign Overview
After voting in the voting form within the TSUTAYA app, 10 people who post the title of their vote on Twitter with the hashtag "TSUTAYA Comic Awards" will be randomly selected to receive 3,000 TSUTAYA-exclusive T Points (fixed-time points). Winners will be notified via direct message to their Twitter account after the voting period ends.
