About the Kawauchi Cultural Hall Site Utilization Project
Under an agreement with Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture, Kyushu Electric Power is preparing to open the former Kawauchi Cultural Hall site in spring 2024 as a facility that will be loved and appreciated by local residents, with the concept of a "relaxing space filled with smiles and an open feeling" where three generations of parents and children, mainly those raising children, can gather to have fun, relax, and learn.
Furthermore, in order to make the facility a symbolic embodiment of Kyushu Electric Power's carbon-neutral efforts, the company aims to achieve a "ZEB (Net Zero Energy Building)" with an annual energy consumption balance of zero through "energy conservation" through the introduction of high-efficiency equipment and high-insulation in the building, and "energy creation" through the installation of solar power generation systems.
