- "Concours of Elegance" awards cars manufactured up to 1999 - A sustainable event using EV power for the event venue -

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Takahashi Yoshinori; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") and Seibu Realty Solutions Co., Ltd. (Head office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Saito Tomohide; hereinafter referred to as "SRS") will hold the third sustainable car life event "KARUIZAWA MOTOR GATHERING 2023 Autumn"https://www.motor-gathering.com/) will be held for three days from Saturday, October 7th to Monday, October 9th, 2023 (national holiday) at Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza (hereinafter referred to as "Karuizawa PSP"), a resort-style shopping mall owned and operated by SRS.

Since the event was first held at Karuizawa PSP in October 2022, it has been well received by customers as a car life event that brings together EVs (electric vehicles), heritage cars, and camper vans, with each passing year attracting more and more visitors, including families and car enthusiasts.

This is the third time the event has been held, and the theme is "Play - Learn - Let's get started! Sustainable car life." You can experience a variety of car lifestyles, including displays of environmentally friendly vehicles such as EVs, PHEVs (plug-in hybrid vehicles), HEVs (hybrid vehicles), FCVs (fuel cell vehicles), and CDVs (clean diesel vehicles), as well as a display of heritage cars, and a corner proposing car and outdoor lifestyles. We will also be holding a test drive event where you can experience the latest environmentally friendly vehicles.

Additionally, as a first attempt, we will be holding the "Concours of Elegance" awards event, in which members of the public can also participate by displaying their own cars on the lawn of the Garden Mall inside Karuizawa PSP. This award is open to cars manufactured up to 1999, and three awards will be presented: the "People's Choice" selected by votes from visitors to the venue, the "Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza Award" selected by the venue, Karuizawa PSP, and the "KMG Executive Committee Award" selected by the event's executive committee.

In addition to the car exhibits, the venue will also feature food and drink sales from food trucks, a bonfire and marshmallow roasting experience in a collaboration zone between outdoor brands and cars, and live music, making it an event that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways by visitors of all ages, from children to adults.

As with the previous event, we will also be implementing "V2L power supply," which will supply electricity used within the event venue from EVs. We hope that visitors will be able to experience the power storage capabilities of EVs, and that this sustainable car life event will provide an opportunity to think about a sustainable society that will lead to the future.

Through this event, CCC and SRS will provide an opportunity to think about a sustainable society that will connect to the future in Karuizawa Town, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary since becoming a town. By continuing to hold "KARUIZAWA MOTOR GATHERING" at Karuizawa PSP in the future, CCC and SRS will propose tomorrow's car life, starting from Karuizawa, where tradition and the future intersect, to people of all generations who live and visit Karuizawa.
