--Comic-loving "Okazu Club" and boy band "OWV" member Honda Kosuke make guest appearances--
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Takahashi Yoshinori; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") has decided to hold a live online broadcast (TSUTAYA official Instagram) of the awards ceremony event for the "7th Annual TSUTAYA Comic Awards, Chosen by Everyone" from 12:00 to 13:00 on Wednesday, September 27th.

At the awards ceremony, we will announce the top 10 winning titles selected by reader vote, as well as the Grand Prize winner. We will also be announcing the "BookLive Award," which will select works that are particularly popular among BookLive readers.
The guests will be the comedy duo Okazu Club, who also appeared as guests at the awards ceremony for the 4th and 5th "Minna ga Suru TSUTAYA Comic Taisho" (Tsutaya Comic Awards), and Honda Kosuke, leader of the boy band OWV, which was formed by four former trainees who appeared on "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN," Japan's largest audition program that became a social phenomenon in 2019. The three guests, all huge comic book fans, will liven up the awards ceremony by sharing their thoughts on the winning works and talking about the comics they are currently interested in.

Continuing since 2016, this is the only manga award in which readers vote to determine the next big hit, the "next breakout" comic work. The purpose is to suggest new recommendations from readers to readers. The 5th Grand Prize winner, "My Dangerous Wife," and the 6th Grand Prize winner, "Yamada-kun and the Level 999 Love Story," were both made into TV anime that aired in April this year, creating a buzz. In addition, all previous Grand Prize winners have been made into TV anime, attracting attention, and this award allows comic fan users to be the first to find out what the next big hit will be, thanks to recommendations from the users.
・Voting conditions for works: Unfinished manga works with up to 5 volumes published as of June 30, 2023
- How to vote: After logging in to the TSUTAYA app, select up to 5 titles from the voting form and vote.
・Voting period...July 10th (Monday) to August 20th (Sunday), 2023
・Counting method: The number of votes from users and the number of votes from TSUTAYA bookstore staff nationwide were added together.
The entries will be tallied and the work with the most votes will be awarded the Grand Prize, followed by 2nd place to 10th place.
