Looking at my wallet bulging with numerous point cards and credit cards, I thought, "If I could just get by with just one, wouldn't that be fine? "T Points" is a service that was launched on October 1, 2003, based on the idea that "it would be nice to have just one card that allows you to accumulate points anywhere and use them."From there, the term "common point service" was born, which allows you to accumulate and use points at various stores. At the same time, common point services began to gradually spread throughout society, and now they have become a service that everyone knows. Now in its 20th anniversary, T Points has grown into a service used by approximately 130 million customers (number of valid IDs) across Japan.
We would like to express our gratitude to the many customers who have supported T-Point to date, as well as to our T-Point partners and all other parties who have worked with us to create this service.
The "T Card" started as a plastic magnetic TSUTAYA membership card in 2003, but with the advancements in technology and lifestyles, it has now evolved into the "Mobile T Card" that can be used on smartphones. The "T Point 20th Anniversary Movie," which commemorates the 20th anniversary, is a movie that traces the history of T Point, which has been supported by many customers, from the 2000s to the present day in 2023. Please enjoy T Points, which have changed with the times.
In spring 2024, T Points will be merged with V Points offered by the SMBC Group to become the blue and yellow "V Points."We will continue to provide "points that everyone can use" to a wide variety of customers across Japan. We hope to receive your continued patronage.
