- Aiming to improve your health at "TSUTAYA Conditioning," a gym that "conditions your mind and body" -
Culture Experience Inc. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura; hereinafter referred to as "CX") and Tanita Corporation (Head office: Itabashi-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Chisato Tanita) have signed a comprehensive agreement to provide comprehensive health promotion services in the four areas of "exercise," "food," "beauty," and "knowledge" at "TSUTAYA Conditioning," a gym operated by TSUTAYA with the concept of "balancing the mind and body."

The "Tanita Cafe" corner, which was first introduced at the "TSUTAYA Conditioning Sakurashinmachi Store" that reopened in February 2023, sells health-conscious "Tanita Coffee," which contains about twice the amount of chlorogenic acid, a type of coffee polyphenol, as regular coffee, as well as Tanita Cafe's original frozen menu items, such as pasta and soup made with plenty of vegetables, through vending machines. The vending machine has now been relocated to the TSUTAYA Conditioning Kofu Arakawa store, which is scheduled to open on December 2, 2023, and has also been introduced to the TSUTAYA Conditioning Mikatahara store, which opened in July 2023, where it has been well received by health-conscious customers. Going forward, the two companies will expand their efforts beyond just offering "meals" to include "food," "exercise," "knowledge," and "beauty," providing comprehensive support for customers in "balancing their mind and body."Furthermore, we will also focus on holding events such as tasting sessions and on-site measurement sessions.

Health promotion achieved through partnerships
1. Food
In addition to the currently available Tanita Cafe coffee and frozen lunch boxes, we will also be rolling out menu items jointly developed by TSUTAYA Conditioning and Tanita Cafe.
2: "Exercise"
We will be offering free rental of "Tanita Size" exercise equipment, which is easy to use and based on the concept of "integrating it into your everyday life without any strain," and will also be introducing it into studio programs.
3: “Knowledge”
A number of recipe books featuring menus from Tanita's employee cafeteria will be available in stores, providing employees with the opportunity to learn how to prepare delicious, low-calorie meals that will leave them feeling full. In addition, a free paper will be published once a month containing health information and recipes written by Tanita's registered dietitians on seasonal themes and will be available in the store. In addition, the store will have cooking scales, timers, thermometers, hygrometers, and other cooking and indoor environment equipment that can be used at home, which customers can try out. If you find a product you like, you can purchase it using the QR code.
4: "Beauty"
We will hold tasting events and cooking seminars based on Tanita Shokudo recipe books and cafe menus, as well as on-site measurements using a multi-frequency body composition analyzer, which can perform more accurate body composition analysis not only for the whole body but also for individual body parts, and we will also propose various seminars, counseling, and other events to support our customers' beauty goals.
Health services based on this agreement will be implemented at new stores, including the "TSUTAYA Conditioning Kofu Arakawa Store," which will have its grand opening on December 2nd. Existing stores will also offer tastings of "Tanita Cafe" coffee and menu items, as well as measurement experiences. Additionally, by connecting TSUTAYA Conditioning stores online and enhancing events that combine each store's content, we will support customers in shaping their minds and bodies.
