Culture Experience Inc. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura; hereinafter referred to as "CX") opened TSUTAYA's first trading card specialty store, "TSUTAYA Trading card Kinshicho," on the 5th floor of Kinshicho PARCO on Friday, December 1st.
TSUTAYA began selling trading cards in earnest in 2018. After the COVID-19 pandemic, trading cards are a game that allows players to enjoy face-to-face battles, and are becoming a form of content enjoyed by a wide range of customers, regardless of age or gender, not just children and other younger generations. Currently, we operate trading card sales areas with competition seats in 165 stores nationwide (as of November 2023). We will continue to increase the number of stores with competition seats, and increase the number of places where more customers can experience the game safely and securely.
Points about "TSUTAYA Trading Card Kinshicho"
1. The largest community-style store in the Kinshicho area, with 54 match seats
For those living in the Kinshicho area, we offer a spacious and clean space where you can relax and enjoy playing games with friends or even if you come alone, after school, work, or on the weekends. We also aim to be a community-oriented store where children living in the surrounding area can make new friends through trading cards in a safe, secure and clean sales area.
2: Approximately 85,000 items in stock, the largest selection in the Kinshicho area
We have a total inventory of approximately 85,000 new and used items. Browse our wide selection of cards to find the cards that will strengthen your deck for your next match. Additionally, search machines have been installed in four locations within the store, making it easy to find the products you are looking for.
3: Make new friends through tournaments and events
We plan over 50 different tournaments and events every month, including official tournaments. We offer a place where customers can communicate with each other and meet new friends through trading cards.
4: Ideas for smooth purchasing
Trading cards are purchased at a counter specializing in purchasing. The customer number you will be given when you request an appraisal will be displayed on a monitor above the counter once the appraisal is complete. While your item is being appraised, you can enjoy shopping and playing in the store.
TSUTAYA will continue to offer opportunities for creating communities through "experiences" through a variety of items and events, including trading cards.
