- Your T Points and V Points will become "blue and yellow 'V Points'" on April 22nd.
CCCMK Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takahashi Yoshinori; hereinafter "CCCMKHD") and Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co., Ltd. (Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Onishi Yukihiko; hereinafter "SMCC") are pleased to announce the launch of the "Blue and Yellow V Points" (operating company: CCCMKHD; official name: V Points) on Monday, April 22, 2024. This will create a new, largest shared points service in Japan that combines points and payment.
■The name and logo of your T Points and V Points will change to "blue and yellow 'V Points'"
For customers who use T Points and V Points, the name and logo of your points will automatically change to the blue and yellow "V Points" on Monday, April 22nd. Your currently accumulated T Points and V Points can continue to be used at the same rate of 1 point = 1 yen from Monday, April 22nd onwards.
■ The app will be renewed to the "V Point App" and "V Point Pay App"
The "T Point App" provided by CCCMKHD and the smartphone app "V Point" provided by SMCC will be redesigned on Monday, April 22nd to consolidate their respective functions.
The "T Point App" provided by CCCMKHD will be renamed to the "V Point App" as a convenient app for shopping. As always, you can use the app conveniently to accumulate and use points.
The smartphone app "V Points" provided by SMCC will be renamed to the "V Points Pay App."As before, you can use your card at Visa member stores around the world, but now you can display your Mobile V Card and present the barcode at V Points partner stores, making it even more convenient to collect and use points.
■You can combine points by linking T Points and V Points.
Customers who use both T Point and V Point services can easily link the two points using the "Vpass app," "Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation app," "V Point Pay app," etc.
By linking your T Points and V Points, you will be able to combine your T Points and V Points and display your Mobile V Card on the V Point Pay app.
If you do not wish to link your accounts, your points will not be added together. You can continue to use various services within the scope of existing T Point and V Point functions*1. We will inform you of the details at a later date.
■T Cards will continue to be usable after Monday, April 22nd, and will be replaced by "Mobile V Cards" in the future.
The current Mobile T Card will be renamed the "Mobile V Card," and from Monday, April 22nd, you can earn and use blue and yellow "V Points" by presenting your "Mobile V Card" or your T Card at "V Point" partner stores. In the future, we will transition from presenting plastic cards*2 to presenting "Mobile V Card" cards in stores, and together with touch payments at Visa member stores, we will provide a service that can be used smoothly with just a smartphone.
■ The number of stores where V Points can be used will expand to 7.5 million in Japan and 100 million worldwide
From Monday, April 22nd, the number of stores where you can use the blue and yellow V Points will increase from the current 150,000 T Point partner stores to 7.5 million Visa member stores in Japan and 100 million Visa member stores worldwide.
Customers who currently only use T Card/Mobile T Card can apply for Sumitomo Mitsui Card*3 and earn double the amount of "blue and yellow 'V Points'" - shopping points and payment points - when shopping at V Point partner stores that are also Visa member stores. Additionally, by using the V Point Pay app, customers will be able to make payments with their blue and yellow V Points at 7.5 million stores in Japan and 100 million stores worldwide that are Visa affiliates.

■Services with T in their names will change, such as T Money becoming "V Money" and T Site becoming "V Point Site."
In response to the change to "blue and yellow 'V Points,'" from Monday, April 22nd, the electronic money service T Money, which has been offered until now, will become "V Money"*4, T Points [T Points/T Site] will become "V Points Site," and other service names that previously began with a "T" will be changed to new service names that begin with a "V."Please note that the URLs of some service sites may change.
Please note that with the launch of "Blue and Yellow V Points," there will be some changes to some services. Details, including the specific service content of the "Blue and Yellow V Points," will be posted on our website and other media as they become available.
CCCMKHD and SMCC will continue to strive to provide "points that everyone can use" that allow more customers to accumulate points without even thinking about them, are easy to use, are free, safe, and are not tied to any particular economic zone.
*1 For customers currently using V Points, some services such as point expiration dates and point exchange (prize exchange, etc.) will be revised. For details, please visit SMCC's special website for "Blue and Yellow V Points."
*2 Some credit cards and cards with character designs will be issued as plastic cards.
