Culture Experience Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura) and Bunmeido Bookstore Co., Ltd., a member company of TSUTAYA, will renovate the TSUTAYA Fukui Takayanagi store, which opened in 2007, and open the TSUTAYA Conditioning Fukui Takayanagi store, the first store in the Hokuriku area, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

■What is “TSUTAYA Conditioning”?
This is a lifestyle gym proposed by TSUTAYA with the concept of "balancing the mind and body."In this space surrounded by books, we offer the latest machines and yoga programs that even beginners can easily continue, as well as events and other activities to provide a richer quality of life based on exercise, food, beauty, and knowledge.
The first store opened in Sakurashinmachi, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo in 2017, and TSUTAYA Conditioning Fukui Takayanagi is the seventh store, following stores in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture; Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture; Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture; and Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and is the first store to open in the Hokuriku area.
"TSUTAYA Conditioning" is seeing an increase in membership, primarily among women in their 40s and 50s. Additionally, stores based on specific themes such as TSUTAYA Conditioning PILATES and TSUTAYA Conditioning GOLF have also been created.

The store has an open studio where you can enjoy original yoga programs. You can participate in person or online, so you can enjoy yoga that fits your lifestyle.
Furthermore, the latest machines in the store use AI to suggest exercises tailored to each customer, so even beginners can easily exercise without straining themselves, just like playing a game.
Between workouts, you can take a break in the attached book lounge, which has around 200 books on the themes of exercise, beauty, food, and lifestyle, selected by the book concierge of Daikanyama T-Site. The open book lounge facing the window is equipped with Wi-Fi and tables with power outlets, and can be used as a working space for self-study and other activities other than exercise. You can also purchase coffee from the Tanita Cafe in the store, and for a monthly fee of 1,100 yen, you can enjoy unlimited hydrogen water as an option.
