(Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Baba Hikaru; hereinafter referred to as "DeNA SOMPO Mobility") are pleased to announce that they will collaborate on marketing support in the automobile sales sector, working towards building and utilizing a "lifestyle x car experience platform."
The "Lifestyle x Car Experience Platform" will use lifestyle data from the approximately 130 million members (number of valid IDs) held by the CCC Group and car sharing usage data from Anyca users, which has over 840,000 registered members operated by DeNA SOMPO Mobility, to refer users to car manufacturers and dealers that match their lifestyles and demands. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to solve the challenge of attracting customers by quickly identifying car-purchasing needs and expanding the possibilities of future car life.
Amid a once-in-a-century transformation in the automotive industry, attitudes toward car ownership have changed dramatically. In the field of automobile sales, the diversification of behavior leading up to consumption has become evident in this information society. The ability to gather information online has led to a significant decline in visits to car dealerships for consultations, while at the same time, customers now visit dealerships once they have already made up their mind to purchase. As it has become more difficult to increase sales through direct contact between sales outlets and consumers alone, the cost per unit sold is on the rise. Given these circumstances, it is said that one of the most important challenges in car sales is attracting customers.
The car sharing service "ENICA" has registered new vehicles from approximately 30 car brands and a total of more than 390 car dealerships on its platform, allowing users to carefully consider purchasing a car while experiencing its high-speed driving performance and parking, or to freely enjoy new cars for as long as they like, even before actually considering purchasing a car, providing a wide range of car experiences.
CCC is committed to proposing a car life that allows people to enjoy cars, including the joy of driving, the joy of learning about them, the joy of seeing them, and the fun of collecting them. In this initiative, DeNA SOMPO Mobility will combine its own data with data held by the CCC Group and analyze it*, which will connect consumer trends in car experiences, car ownership, and lifestyles, making it possible to visualize the customer journey. By building this "lifestyle x car experience platform," we aim to quickly identify car purchasing needs, solve customer acquisition issues, and provide marketing support to automakers and dealers that will lead to improved sales efficiency. First, the two companies will implement measures to drive customers to dealers in April 2024, and after verifying the results, aim to launch a "lifestyle x car experience platform" that combines the existing assets of both companies during fiscal 2024.
While addressing the changing values surrounding car ownership, the two companies will utilize the unique data they possess to explore new consumer insights into car sales and expand the possibilities of future car lifestyles.
*This initiative will conduct data analysis in compliance with laws and regulations.
