First store in the Tohoku area, "SHARE LOUNGE Tagajo" opens on April 11th

Tagajo City (Tagajo City, Miyagi Prefecture; Mayor: Kosuke Fukaya; hereinafter referred to as "Tagajo City"), Tagajo Ekikita Development Co., Ltd. (Head office: Tagajo City, Miyagi Prefecture; President and CEO: Koichi Saito; hereinafter referred to as "Ekikita"), and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") have opened "SHARE LOUNGE," their first in the Tohoku area, on the second floor of Tagajo Ekikita Building A on April 11, 2024. Utilizing funding from Tagajo City and the Regional Revitalization Hub Development Grant, SHARE LOUNGE Tagajo, a consortium of Ekikita and CCC, aims to create new flows of people and interactions, as well as to realize regional revitalization through human resource development.

CCC opened the first "SHARE LOUNGE" store, "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Shibuya Scramble Square," in 2019. The store combines the functionality of a shared office with the comfort of a lounge. Due to the current situation where working styles have changed dramatically due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SHARE LOUNGE now operates 28 stores in Japan and 2 overseas.These spaces have been well received as they can be used freely as both cafes and workspaces, and the number of members of the official app has exceeded 250,000. We have now opened our first store in the Tohoku area, "SHARE LOUNGE Tagajyo," on the second floor of Tagajyo Station North Building A.

Tagajo City is a unique municipality, with approximately 10% of its population moving in and out each year. This means that there is a need to foster connections between local residents, exchanges with people both inside and outside the city, and to respond to increasingly diverse working styles. Therefore, we have newly established "SHARE LOUNGE Tagajyo" in Tower A of Tagajyo Station North Building, a local landmark that is visited by approximately 1 million people annually, as a place where people can work freely and where citizens who will become leaders in the community can interact and be created.

In addition to providing a comfortable workspace and cafe, SHARE LOUNGE Tagajyo will also function as a hub for the local community. We aim to achieve regional revitalization by creating new flows of people and fostering new interactions and developing human resources to create the Tohoku region's leading cultural exchange hub, brimming with the character of the historic city of Tagajyo.

Features of "SHARE LOUNGE Tagajo"

(1) As a comfortable workspace
 Anyone can drop in and use the store for a minimum of 60 minutes. The floor is surrounded by approximately 400 books, which you are free to pick up and read. We also provide Wi-Fi, power outlets, monitors, chargers and other accessories for rent, and you can use the space freely and without hesitation for web conferences, meetings and business negotiations.

Furthermore, you can easily make reservations using the app and check in smartly by simply scanning a QR code. After registering your credit card, you can also use smart checkout and make payments by simply holding up the QR code.

(2) As a place for interaction and relaxation
 You can enjoy as much food and drinks as you like in the store. The comfortable sofa seats are perfect for taking a break from work or shopping, while the box seats can accommodate multiple people and are a great place to chat with friends.

Furthermore, SHARE LOUNGE Tagajyo's store concept is "giving shape to your individuality," and aims to create a space where everyone can utilize their individuality and thrive in their own way. A community manager will be on-site to create connections among local residents, propose diverse working styles, support the organization of events, and hold events that foster interaction between residents, thereby contributing to the revitalization of the local area.

Through SHARE LOUNGE Tagajo, Tagajo City, Ekikita and CCC aim to bring people together, meet and form communities, which will then lead to the creation of new value.
