Kinokuniya Bookstore Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujinori Yukio; hereinafter referred to as "Kinokuniya Bookstore"), CCC MK HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCCMKHD"), and Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co., Ltd. (Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yukihiko Onishi; hereinafter referred to as "Sumitomo Mitsui Card") will launch a service that allows users to accumulate and use "Blue and Yellow V POINT" at 69 Kinokuniya Bookstore stores nationwide from Monday, June 3, 2024.

"Blue and Yellow V POINT" (operated by CCCMKHD, official name: V POINT) is a new shared points service launched by CCCMKHD and Sumitomo Mitsui Card on Monday, April 22nd.

Kinokuniya Bookstore, which opened in 1927, will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027. Currently, we have 69 stores in major cities across Japan, including our main store in Shinjuku, and 42 stores overseas in 10 countries, including San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Sydney, Dubai, and Taipei. Kinokuniya Bookstore is committed to providing excellent customer service, and we offer a wide selection of domestic books, as well as directly imported foreign books and magazines, Blu-ray/DVDs, CDs, and stationery that are delivered quickly and at reasonable prices. We are always striving to operate a store that can meet a variety of needs.

Through this initiative, customers who use stores operated by Kinokuniya Bookstores can earn "Blue and Yellow V POINT" by presenting a card that earns "Blue and Yellow V POINT" when paying in-store, and will earn one "Blue and Yellow V POINT" for every 200 yen spent. Furthermore, if you pay with a Sumitomo Mitsui Card*, you will also earn "blue and yellow V POINT" as payment points.

*This applies to credit cards that earn V POINT. For details, please check the Sumitomo Mitsui Card website.

Accumulated points can be used to pay at domestic stores operated by Kinokuniya Bookstores, with 1 point equaling 1 yen, and can also be used at approximately 100 million stores worldwide that accept Visa touch payments.

Kinokuniya Bookstore, CCCMKHD and Sumitomo Mitsui Card will continue to provide services that will please many customers through Kinokuniya Bookstore's "Blue and Yellow V POINT" service.

"Blue and Yellow V POINT" is a new points service that CCCMKHD and Sumitomo Mitsui Card will launch on Monday, April 22nd. In addition to the current 150,000 T-POINT partner stores, the number of stores where you can use Visa will expand to 7.5 million stores in Japan and 100 million stores worldwide.
Customers who currently only use a T-CARD/Mobile T-CARD can apply for an eligible Sumitomo Mitsui Card* and earn double the amount of "blue and yellow V POINT" - shopping points and payment points - when shopping at V POINT partner and Visa member stores. Additionally, by using the V POINT Pay app, customers will be able to make payments with their blue and yellow V POINT at 7.5 million stores in Japan and 100 million stores worldwide that are Visa affiliates.
*There are some credit cards that do not allow you to accumulate blue and yellow V POINT.
