Culture Experience Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura) and BookAce Co., Ltd. (Business Headquarters: Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture; President and CEO: Kosaku Okuno), a TSUTAYA franchisee, opened "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Soyora Narita New Town" on the same day as the shopping center (SC) "Soyora Narita New Town" opened on Friday, July 19, 2024.

TSUTAYA Narita Akasaka, which has provided a variety of entertainment to local residents, has now been reborn as TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Soyora Narita New Town, one of the largest bookstores in the area, in Narita New Town, an area expected to see future development in conjunction with the expansion of Narita Airport. This is the region's first "BOOK & CAFE" style bookstore, based on the concept of "a cultural hub befitting a growing town."

Features of "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Soyora Narita New Town"

(1) There are always new discoveries to be made in the children's books, study guides, and specialized books section
The children's book section, which boasts one of the largest sizes and selections in the region, will also feature a "kids' space" and an "educational toy trial area," providing a relaxing space for parents and children. We will also hold experiential events such as workshops, reading events, and storytimes, providing a space for new encounters and connections for families and local residents alike.
In addition, we also have a wide selection of study guides and specialist books to support the learning and knowledge curiosity of young children and working people.

(2) The largest trading card store in the region, where new encounters and communication can take place
Trading cards (hereafter referred to as "toreka") are a competitive game that is popular among a wide range of people, regardless of age or gender. The store has a bright and calm atmosphere with approximately 100 seats for games, providing a space where everyone from children to local residents can enjoy games in peace. We also regularly hold tournaments and events, aiming to deepen interactions between staff and players and create a new community.

(3) A stationery section with a wide selection of products and a food specialty shop called "AME & KAZE"
(Scheduled to open in August)
The stationery section stocks a wide variety of products to suit your child's development. We offer items that cater to each stage of development, such as colorful stationery that brings out the joy of learning and craft items that stimulate creativity.
Furthermore, in August, a food specialty shop called "AME & KAZE" will open, offering a selection of delicious food from Japan and abroad. We select local products based on our own criteria and offer a collection of uniquely delicious products from around the world and Japan, providing an exciting shopping experience every time you visit our store.  

(4) The region's first "BOOK & CAFE" (scheduled to open in September) offers a comfortable reading experience
A Starbucks is scheduled to open in September. As a "BOOK & CAFE," you can enjoy your time choosing books while sipping coffee. We will create a new encounter with books in a calm and comfortable space.

TSUTAYA is expanding its "new-generation experiential bookstores that foster interaction in local communities" across the country. We will continue to aim to provide local residents with new experiences through our bookstore and to create a local community.
