Culture Experience Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura; hereinafter referred to as "CX") and NIC Retails Co., Ltd. (Head office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Junya Kondo), a member company of TSUTAYA, have opened "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Shibuya Sakura Stage" and "SHARE LOUNGE" at Shibuya Sakura Stage (hereinafter referred to as "Shibuya Sakura Stage") on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

"TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Shibuya Sakura Stage" has opened on the 4th floor of the SHIBUYA side of Shibuya Sakura Stage, adjacent to the New South ticket gates of JR Shibuya Station. The store's concept is "A place that expands the way of life for all people, spending their time in SHIBUYA now and in the future," and it will be one of the largest bookstores in the Shibuya area, with a stock of approximately 160,000 books. The store also houses "SHARE LOUNGE," the fourth in the Shibuya area, which combines the functionality of a shared office with the comfort of a lounge. The main target audience is creative workers visiting Shibuya and people living around Shibuya Sakura Stage, and the space will stimulate the intellectual curiosity of everyone who works, plays, or lives in the area. In a space surrounded by books, knowledge will spread through books, and we will provide a place where the way of life of all people will expand, both now and in the future, in Shibuya.

(1) Expand your knowledge through the largest selection of books in the Shibuya area

Conveniently located next to the New South ticket gates of Shibuya Station, it is one of the largest bookstores in the Shibuya area, with a stock of approximately 160,000 books, making it easy to drop in at any time. For those working in the Shibuya area, we have a wide selection of books, from the latest business books to useful practical books, to support you in honing your knowledge and skills. In addition, the diverse lineup of books that broaden horizons and deepen knowledge in areas such as the humanities and arts provides a space where everyone who works, plays, and lives in Shibuya can expand their knowledge and creativity through books.

(2) Expanding "sensitivity" through the works of next-generation artists

In collaboration with the adjacent art community space "re-search," organized by CCC Art Lab, "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE" will exhibit and sell zines and merchandise related to next-generation artists, providing a space where people can encounter and interact with art. We aim to provide an experience that broadens the senses and is a place of new discoveries and inspiration for all visitors to Shibuya.

(3) It can be used not only for business but also as a cafe. SHARE LOUNGE expands the ways you use your time

With drop-ins starting from as little as 60 minutes, anyone can use the space whenever they have free time, and reservations can be easily made via the app. SHARE LOUNGE has a total of 180 seats and can be used casually as both a cafe and a workspace. We offer an environment where you can concentrate on your work, with high-speed Wi-Fi ideal for business use, a workspace where you can concentrate, five completely private rooms where you can hold online meetings without worrying about others, and three conference rooms where multiple people can meet. You can also preview up to three books before purchasing them from the attached "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE," which has a large inventory.
In addition to being suitable for business use, the lounge also offers sofa seating where customers can relax in the middle of shopping or after work. The space is designed to be comfortable and can be used however customers like, making it a multi-functional lounge that will broaden the ways in which people gather in Shibuya spend their time. We offer an ideal space to meet the needs of everyone visiting Shibuya, from business to cafe use.

(4) Enjoy gourmet food on the same floor at SHARE LOUNGE

Of the nine restaurants on the 4th floor of the Shibuya side of Shibuya Sakura Stage, you can order food from your seat in the SHARE LOUNGE via mobile and eat it there (please note that customers are asked to pick up their ordered items at the restaurant themselves).
