- Experience Design Headquarters to be established in October -

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") is pleased to announce the launch of a new business that aims to provide customer experience value centered on lifestyle. In addition, with the aim of maximizing this business, we will establish a new specialized department, the "Experience Design Headquarters," on October 1, 2024.

The newly established specialized department will utilize the know-how that the CCC Group has cultivated over many years in creating offline customer experiences to help build stronger relationships with consumers. We offer a wide range of services, including content planning and production, and event management, to help companies and brands increase engagement with their customers and build continuous communication. In addition, we will make maximum use of the CCC Group's database marketing expertise to help create customer experience value that meets the diverse needs of companies and brands. Specifically, we provide comprehensive support for all processes of an event, from designing the target audience, advertising and attracting attendees, to analyzing attendees after the event has ended, and offer high-value-added services.

Providing customer experience value outside the CCC Group

Utilizing the event planning know-how cultivated at TSUTAYA BOOKS and TSUTAYA, CCC will provide support for producing and running events outside of the store platforms operated by CCC. We have received many inquiries from major developers and local governments about attracting events held at CCC Group stores, and in the future we will expand the event know-how planned by the CCC Group to an even wider range of locations.

Providing customer experience value at venues operated by the CCC Group

In promotions that utilize the store platform operated by CCC, we will work to produce plans and content that offer greater customer experience value than ever before. In promotions that utilize stores, we will support more effective marketing activities by handling commercial distribution including sales, and proposing database marketing that accompanies sales.

Going forward, we will strengthen collaboration with a wide range of companies, including online event platforms, PR agencies, advertising agencies, publishers, IP businesses, and event planning companies, and will also actively develop joint events with various media outlets. The CCC Group has proposed enriched lifestyles throughout Japan and contributed to the creation of communities in each region through its approximately 800 TSUTAYA stores, 30 TSUTAYA Bookstores stretching from Hokkaido to Kyushu, and 32 SHARE LOUNGE locations across Japan, which combine the convenience of a shared office with the comfort of a lounge. Furthermore, by utilizing its store network throughout Japan, the company has held more than 10,000 events a year, including workshops, talk events, press conferences, experiential events, and pop-up shops, accumulating a wealth of experience and know-how. In addition, we plan to collaborate with Counter Works Co., Ltd. to provide retail space for pop-up stores and events at 100 stores nationwide, including TSUTAYA BOOKS and TSUTAYA, as well as work to match companies with locations.

Through this new business, CCC aims to become a co-creation partner that works together with various companies to create experiential value, while also providing new discoveries and exciting experiences never before seen to a wide range of customers throughout Japan.
