- Providing experiential value that allows each individual to live a vibrant life -
Pia Corporation (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroshi Yanai; hereinafter referred to as "Pia"), which plans and manages various leisure and entertainment events and sells tickets, and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCC"), which operates TSUTAYA BOOKS and TSUTAYA stores nationwide, have agreed to jointly develop new initiatives, including an event business that proposes lifestyle ideas, with the aim of expanding services in the entertainment field. Through this project, Pia and CCC will continue to roll out exciting services, such as providing experiential value that will help each individual live a vibrant life.
Pia is involved in organizing various events and entertainment-related businesses, such as the "Bread Festival," which attracts 150,000 people each time, and music festivals, while CCC has been proposing new lifestyles through various platforms in response to changing times and lifestyles. The two companies, which operate in the entertainment and culture fields, have teamed up to utilize their respective know-how in this first collaboration, with the theme being "snacks."
The first collaborative event, "Oyatsu Market," will be held
The first ever "Oyatsu Market" will be held at the Galleria event plaza at Futako Tamagawa Rise for three days from Friday, February 14th to Sunday, February 16th, 2025.
The concept of "Oyatsu Market" is "delicious encounters that you'll want to share."The event will bring together wonderful snacks and vendors from all over the country that you'll want to enjoy not only for yourself but also to share with your family and friends. We will be selling a variety of nostalgic snacks, along with the opportunity to encounter new snacks you may not have known about before, and to enjoy the warm communication and fun that will come from the shop staff. We aim to make this one of the largest snack events in the country, with a total of 240,000 visitors expected over the three days.
Going forward, the two companies will hold satellite events of the "Oyatsu Market" that will bring together snacks that were popular at this event at TSUTAYA BOOKS across the country, thereby revitalizing local areas and providing new food experiences. We will continue to collaborate in various ways, including utilizing social media, strengthening promotions, and holding regular events four times a year.
Pia is engaged in a wide range of businesses in the entertainment field, from content creation to ticketing and the operation of large-scale arenas, and is working to build a "lifeline of excitement" that is essential to creating vibrant lifestyles for each individual in the 21st century.
In October 2024, CCC launched a new experience design business that aims to provide customer experience value centered on lifestyle. We aim to be a co-creation partner that works together with various companies to create experiential value, while also providing customers throughout Japan with new discoveries and exciting experiences they have never experienced before.
Through this project, Pia and CCC aim to provide customers with new experiential value, revitalize the local area, and create fans. By utilizing the space and know-how of both companies, we will continue to offer new initiatives that will enrich your lifestyle and make your daily life even more enriching and special.
