TSUTAYA BOOKS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a joint venture between Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter "CCC") and Sojitz Corporation (hereinafter "Sojitz"), has signed a franchise agreement with a local company and opened TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE AEON MALL Tebrau City in Johor Bahru, Malaysia's second largest city located across from Singapore, on Friday, November 15, 2024. This will be the third store in Malaysia, following TSUTAYA Bookstore Bukit Jalil and TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Intermark Mall.

"TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE AEON MALL Tebrau City" has opened on the ground floor of "AEON MALL Tebrau City" in Johor Bahru, the capital of Johor state at the southernmost tip of Peninsular Malaysia and the second largest city after Kuala Lumpur. AEON MALL Tebrau City is visited by many customers not only from within the Johor Bahru area, but also from Singapore, located across the strait.

The concept of "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE AEON MALL Tebrau City Store" is "Enjoy your child's growth together," and it is a "BOOK & CAFE" style bookstore that stocks multilingual books and stationery goods, targeting new families living in Johor Bahru and neighboring Singapore. At "IVY TOKYO," Japanese food professionals will offer a new dining experience that combines Japanese and Malaysian food cultures, such as pasta with shiso pesto sauce and green chili carbonara for Malaysian customers who prefer spicy food.

The store will also offer a menu that the whole family can enjoy, including matcha waffles made with matcha from Uji, Kyoto, and tiramisu and puddings that are popular at the cafes in Bukit Jalil TSUTAYA BOOKS and TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Intermark Mall.
