- The second store in the renovation project, a joint project between Akachan Honpo and CCC -

Akachan Honpo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka / CEO: Kenji Ajishi, hereinafter referred to as "Akachan Honpo") and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / CEO: Yasunori Takahashi, hereinafter referred to as "CCC") have announced that Akachan Honpo's corporate message, "Childcare with a smile, As part of efforts to realize "Akachan Honpo," the two companies are developing a joint creative project. The second store in the co-creation project's renewal project, Akachan Honpo LaLaport Shinmisato, will open on Friday, November 29, 2024.

About the joint project between Akachan Honpo and CCC

Through collaboration between Akachan Honpo and CCC, the two companies have formulated a new store concept: "A place where important things in life with a baby come together," aiming to create a comfortable, safe space where people can gather, as is necessary for each child-rearing parent and their daily life, in a society where diversity in child-rearing is accepted. As a first step towards achieving this goal, the two companies renovated a portion of Akachan Honpo LaLaport Izumi store in February 2024.

Following this renovation, Akachan Honpo LaLaport Izumi store has received positive feedback, with customer satisfaction increasing by 10% (※) compared to before the renovation.

About "Akachan Honpo LaLaport Shinmisato Store"

We are pleased to announce the reopening of Akachan Honpo LaLaport Shinmisato store as the second store in our renewal project. Based on market research and marketing analysis, Akachan Honpo LaLaport Shinmisato store has changed the overall layout of the store with the aim of creating a store that can support local customers in raising their children in their daily lives. In addition, the store has newly established a "Green Plaza" where customers can relax and read, as well as a space that provides information on childcare, education, and the local area, and a "Blue Room" baby room fully equipped with all the necessary facilities.

In addition to a sales area that offers suggestions for travel and outings tailored to each occasion, the store also offers a wide range of Akachan Honpo's private brand products. For strollers, which are in high demand among customers, we have set up a space where customers can try them out and imagine the actual usage scenarios, allowing them to enjoyably choose the product that best suits their individual lifestyle.

At Midori no Hiroba, there is a wide selection of picture books that infants and toddlers should be exposed to, and in the open space you can freely read aloud. It also houses the Fureai Bunko (Friendship Library)*, an initiative of Misato City, which has proclaimed itself to be "Japan's No. 1 reading town."Furthermore, by posting local information and holding a number of events in which customers can participate, we aim to become a community spot for local residents raising children.
(*) "Fureai Bunko": Small local reading spots set up in public facilities and stores in the city (currently 29 locations) where books can be borrowed freely.

"Ao's Room" is a spacious space where you can take care of your baby, including changing diapers and breastfeeding. To help with the hassle and anxiety of going out with a baby, we have provided a variety of facilities, such as a water server and nursing cushions, to create a space where you can feel at ease.

Akachan Honpo and CCC will continue to promote joint projects to create a place where important things in life with a baby can come together.
