V Everyone's Ethical Food Lab, a co-creation platform run by CCC MK HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi), will be holding the second installment of "Hello, Ethical! - Thinking about the Earth through Shopping," an ethical food select shop offering ethical products, held in 2022, at Daikanyama T-SITE (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) from Tuesday, January 21st to Monday, February 3rd, 2025.
"V Everyone's Ethical Food Lab" aims to promote ethical food behavior throughout society by helping people understand the significance of ethical food that takes into consideration the environment, animals, and people/society, as well as the social issues behind it, and by incorporating ethical food into their daily lives.
The first event was themed around coffee and chocolate, providing customers of a wide range of generations with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of questions such as "What is ethical?" and "How does ethical food contribute to solving social issues?" through products.
The second event will focus on free-range eggs, which are an important aspect of animal welfare in ethical food, and will sell four products that use free-range eggs. In addition to delicious food, we will display POP displays that clearly explain what animal welfare is and what free-range eggs are, and develop a sales area that will encourage general customers to understand and empathize with ethical food.
CCC MK HOLDINGS will work with all stakeholders involved in food, including consumers, manufacturers, and distributors, to help ethical food become more widespread in society, and each and every activity of "V Everyone's Ethical Food Lab" will contribute to creating a food cycle that will connect to the future.

[What are free-range eggs?]
■Point 1: Animal welfare
Livestock rearing management based on international animal welfare standards requires understanding the "five freedoms" of animal welfare and continuous effort and improvement through appropriate rearing management, such as daily observation and recording, careful handling, and provision of high-quality feed and water. It is necessary to recognize that this cannot be achieved simply by establishing specific facilities or equipment, and to work toward promoting this.
■ Point 2: The "Five Freedoms" - the basic principles of animal welfare
(1) Freedom from hunger, thirst, and malnutrition
(2) Freedom from fear and distress
(3) Freedom from physical and thermal discomfort
(4) Freedom from pain, injury, and disease
(5) Freedom to Express Normal Behavior
■Point 3: Free-range eggs
We raise the parent birds in a way that reduces stress.
■Point 4: Free-range eggs
Ensure that the parent birds have ample space to exercise freely and are free from physical discomfort.
■Point 5: Free-range eggs
We raise the parent birds in a way that makes it easy for them to behave instinctively.
