Functions and Features of Wakayama City Nishi Community Center

1.    多世代交流の場としてOpen Spaceの提供。There is also a drink bar.

The Wakayama City Nishi Community Center has an open space that can be used as a place for multi-generational interaction. Here, we have set up a drink bar called "NEUK" (for a fee) that users can enjoy, and you can spend your time freely and comfortably whether you want to concentrate on work alone, have a relaxed chat with friends, or participate in an event or course to learn something. We also have a "kids' space" and "library corner" for children.

2. Renting out venues for cultural and community activities
We have a variety of rooms available for rent, including small and medium activity rooms, a cooking practice room, a workroom, small and large multipurpose halls, a Japanese-style room, and a conference room. We aim to make these venues a hub for the local community, with local residents playing a central role.

3. Holding events and courses as a place for local people to gather, meet, connect, and co-create
We will hold a wide variety of events and courses that anyone, from small children to adults, can learn from. Furthermore, we will not be bound by the concept of a traditional community center, but will plan a variety of events and carry out open activities, such as a market where people can rediscover the charm of the local area and events that lead to learning about circular agriculture.

4. Opening hours are from 9:00am to 9:30pm. There is also a lawn and outdoor plaza.
The facility is open from 9:00am to 9:30pm, making it a place where local residents can gather at any time. The building also has a study room and Wi-Fi for students to study or work. There is a natural grass plaza on the first floor, and outdoor plazas on the second and third floors, where you can enjoy a meal, take in the scenery, and spend your time however you like. It can also be used as a temporary evacuation site in the event of a disaster.
