-A new cultural hub with the largest "SHARE LOUNGE" in the Kyushu area-

Culture Experience Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura; hereinafter referred to as "CX") will open "Fukuoka Tenjin TSUTAYA BOOKS," a new cultural hub for adults who are full of passion, on the fourth floor of "ONE FUKUOKA BLDG." (hereinafter referred to as "One Building"), a large-scale mixed-use building newly opened by Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd. (Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City; CEO: Koichi Hayashida) within the "Tenjin Big Bang" area, on Thursday, April 24, 2025.  

One Building aims to realize the concept of a "creative intersection" by creating a place where new cultures and businesses are born through the gathering and encounter of various people, things, and events.

"Fukuoka Tenjin TSUTAYA BOOKS" will open on the 4th floor of this "One Building" with the concept of "Dual Standard."Through books, miscellaneous goods, pop-ups and events, we aim to be a new cultural hub where new ideas are born, by offering a range of content that aligns with polarized values such as literature and pop culture, trends and classics, and global and local. Additionally, SHARE LOUNGE, the third store in the Kyushu area, is the largest in the Kyushu area with approximately 150 seats. Whether you're working or just taking a break from shopping, you can spend your time freely and in your own way.

Characteristics of "Fukuoka Tenjin TSUTAYA BOOKS"

1. "BOOK & CAFE" for adults, embracing diverse values
"Fukuoka Tenjin TSUTAYA BOOKS" is a bookstore that respects diverse values and provides a high-quality time and space for adults who value what they love. The store has approximately 40,000 books in a wide variety of genres, mainly covering "Literature," "Workstyle," "Lifestyle," "Travel," and "Pop Culture," and is designed to help visitors deepen their interests or discover new ones. The entire store is a "BOOK & CAFE."Enjoy reading time with a cup of Starbucks coffee in your favorite place.

2. Update the pop culture that TSUTAYA Fuku Building has been promoting
"Fukuoka Tenjin TSUTAYA BOOKS" will offer an updated version of the pop culture that "TSUTAYA Tenjin Ekimae Fukuoka Building Store," affectionately known as "TSUTAYA Fuku Building" for many years, has been promoting through movies and music, in a style that suits the current era. As a symbol of this, we will be opening the "IP Bookstore Satellite Store" (※) for the first time nationwide. The "IP Bookstore Satellite Store" will also be selling "Sumi-e Goods," a popular IP Bookstore exclusive project, and the "Tapinui Series," which is popular among inbound tourists.

(*) A new store model that allows more customers to experience the brand value and curation power of the "IP Bookstore" that is currently operating in Shibuya, Tokyo and Ebisubashi, Osaka, in a wider area.

Additionally, the event space will host events across a variety of genres, including art, music, theater, film, and radio, with the aim of creating a new pop culture hub and fostering a community.

3.  "旬"を届ける多彩なPOP-UP。"GREEN FUNDING TOUCH & TRY" also makes its first appearance in Kyushu
A pop-up space will be set up inside the store to add color to your lifestyle with seasonal selections and recommendations of apparel and miscellaneous goods.

Also, "GREEN FUNDING" (https://greenfunding.jp/"GREEN FUNDING TOUCH & TRY," which showcased products currently being crowdfunded, will be coming to Kyushu for the first time. At the time of opening, four products will be on display, including the 3D speaker "OPSODIS 1," which has attracted the highest amount of crowdfunding in the history of a Japanese company, and the latest product "OpenDotz ONE" from the global earphone brand Shokz. We will continue to exhibit multiple products developed by domestic and international startups, new products from major companies, and products from global brands not yet released in Japan, allowing you to try out the latest gadgets for free in the heart of Fukuoka.

4. "SHARE LOUNGE" is the third and largest store in Kyushu
We will be developing the "SHARE LOUNGE," a space that will provide visitors with new ideas in a comfortable lounge surrounded by suggestions from books. This will be the third store in Kyushu, following "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Fukuoka Airport" and "TSUTAYA Fukuoka Nishijin Store," and will be the largest with approximately 150 seats. There are various seating options, including window seats overlooking Watanabedori, where you can feel the energy of Fukuoka, semi-private booths where you can concentrate on work or reading, box seats where multiple people can enjoy conversation, and a meeting room that can accommodate up to eight people. You can use the space however you like, whether as an office, a cafe, or a bar.
