-TSUTAYA's trading card specialty store opens its first store in northern Kanto!-
Culture Experience Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura; hereinafter referred to as "CX"), together with TSUTAYA member company Big One Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sakura City, Tochigi Prefecture; Chairman and CEO: Kazuo Omura), has relocated the "TSUTAYA Utsunomiya Interpark Store," which opened in 2005, to "Interpark Shopping Village" (Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture), and opened "TSUTAYA Trading Card Utsunomiya Interpark Village," TSUTAYA's first trading card specialty store in northern Kanto, on Friday, April 25, 2025.
This store will offer a safe and secure space for families of three generations living in the area who visit the Interpark Shopping Village in FKD Shopping Mall Utsunomiya Interpark, one of the largest shopping malls in Tochigi Prefecture, to enjoy trading cards (hereinafter referred to as "trading cards") in a safe and secure environment. With 66 seats for play and a stock of 750,000 new and used cards, we offer an environment where customers can enjoy trading cards more than ever before. In addition, games, which are items that go well with trading cards, can also be purchased at the store.
Trading cards are games that allow players to enjoy face-to-face battles, and after the COVID-19 pandemic, the market has expanded as content that can be enjoyed by a wide range of customers, regardless of age or gender, in addition to children and other younger generations. TSUTAYA began selling trading cards in earnest in 2018. Currently, we have trading card sales areas with game stations in approximately 180 stores nationwide (as of the end of March 2025), and we plan to continue expanding the number of stores with game stations that provide a place for customers to interact.
About TSUTAYA Trading Card
"TSUTAYA Trading Card" aims to be an experiential store that fosters interaction in the local community by providing free play areas that anyone can use and planning a number of official tournaments and unique store events. The first store, TSUTAYA's first trading card specialty store, "TSUTAYA Trading Card Kinshicho," opened in December 2023. Subsequently, "TSUTAYA Trading Card Kita-Senju," "TSUTAYA Trading Card Fuchu Ekimae," and "TSUTAYA Trading Card Hiratsuka" were opened, and the company also focuses on holding competitive events, sometimes holding more than 200 events per month, attracting a wide range of customers.
The four previous stores have been located in the greater Tokyo area, but "TSUTAYA Trading Card Utsunomiya Interpark Village" will be the first store to open outside the greater Tokyo area, and the company aims to make it a model store with an eye toward opening stores in various locations across the country in the future.
TSUTAYA will continue to propose opportunities for creating communities that arise from "experiences" through various items and events, including trading cards, and aims to create local interactions at TSUTAYA.

For those who live near Utsunomiya Interpark Village or those who drop in after school or work, we offer a clean, open and welcoming store where three generations of a family, friends, or even solo customers can relax and enjoy themselves. Additionally, we aim to be a community-oriented store that fosters interaction in the local area by planning events for beginners and manufacturer-sanctioned tournaments so that children can enjoy trading cards with peace of mind.

We have a total inventory of approximately 750,000 new and used trading cards of various types. Browse our wide selection of cards to find the cards that will strengthen your deck for your next match. There are two search machines in the store that allow you to check the selling and buying prices of products, so you can easily find the product you are looking for. We also accept purchases of used cards at the counter.
Make new friends through tournaments and events
We plan over 50 official tournaments and events for beginners each month. We offer a place where customers who love trading cards can communicate with each other and meet new friends through trading cards. When there are no tournaments or events being held, the match seating area is free to use for matches.
We also offer items for games that are highly compatible with trading cards.
We will be expanding our selection of gaming items that were popular at the TSUTAYA Utsunomiya Interpark store before the relocation. We will continue to develop products that will make our customers even happier than they are now.
