Culture Experience Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura; hereinafter referred to as "CX") and GENDA GiGO Entertainment Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuhiro Ninomiya; hereinafter referred to as "GENDA GiGO Entertainment") signed a basic agreement on Thursday, April 24, 2025, for a business partnership that aims to mutually share the know-how of both companies and create entertainment centered on IP content.
GENDA GiGO Entertainment has a vision of "exciting the world with ASOBI," and as a pioneer of entertainment, they pursue real entertainment based on what they love, creating enthusiastic experiences that stimulate all five senses.
On the other hand, CX is "Love is life. " is our corporate slogan, and we are expanding our "new-generation experiential bookstores that create interaction in the local community" throughout the country, promoting the creation of spaces that propose new lifestyles through space and experiences.
With this basic agreement, the two companies plan to combine the strengths of GENDA GiGO Entertainment, which develops various IP products and operates amusement facilities nationwide, with CX's strengths in store operation know-how and logistics network, which will enable the nationwide expansion of "TSUTAYA" stores that attract a wide range of customers based on their bookstore-based proposal capabilities.
Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to jointly develop IP products that are packed with the "favourites" of various customers, to co-create spaces that combine new entertainment in "TSUTAYA" and non-"TSUTAYA" bookstores, and to develop new business formats that create new experiential value for customers across the country, centered on IP content.
