- V POINT service to be introduced at temporary store "Fujimaru Park" opening on July 6th -
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director, President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") and CCC MK HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (Head office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director, President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi) are participating in the "Fujimaru Revitalization Project" in Obihiro City, Hokkaido. As the first step in the project, they will introduce the shared points service "V POINT" at the temporary commercial facility "Fujimaru Park," which is scheduled to open on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
Fujimaru Department Store was a long-established department store with roots in the Tokachi and Obihiro regions, and had been a beloved landmark of the town for many years. However, in January 2023, it closed its doors after 122 years of history. The Fujimaru Revitalization Project aims to revive the Fujimaru Department Store as a commercial complex in 2030 under the concept of "encountering high-quality and delightful Tokachi." The CCC Group shares this vision and will contribute to building the future of Fujimaru by leveraging its strengths, such as database marketing, store planning capabilities that create excitement in the local area, and spatial design capabilities.
As the first step in this initiative, we will be introducing the V POINT service at our directly managed stores in the temporary commercial facility "Fujimaru Park."In the future, we aim to maximize customer satisfaction by considering introducing V POINT not only to our directly managed stores, but also to tenant stores within Fujimaru Park and the Fujimaru ONLINE SHOP.
In addition, data on V Point usage at Fujimaru Park will be used as part of database marketing, and through analysis of visitor trends and customer attributes, will be used as a guideline for designing services at the commercial complex that meet local needs. Furthermore, we aim to contribute to revitalizing the economy of the Tokachi and Obihiro regions and to sustainable urban development.
Going forward, the CCC Group will expand beyond Hokkaido to other regional revitalization projects across the country that face similar challenges, thereby making the most of its assets, knowledge, and networks to contribute to the development of local communities.
For the five years until Shin Fujimaru opens in 2030, a temporary commercial facility called Fujimaru Park will open on a site of approximately 3,200 square meters on the former site of the Nokyo Ren Building, as an important link between the local community and the future of Shin Fujimaru. Fujimaru Park will have five permanent stores utilizing trailer homes, and will function as a community hub, restaurants and shops using local ingredients, as well as a variety of events planned, including regular markets and music festivals.
