- Developing "COTOMONO MARCHE," which handles handmade products, and the popular Taiwanese brand "Vacanza Accessory" -
Culture Experience Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura; hereinafter referred to as "CX") aims to realize its slogan of "A new-generation experiential bookstore that creates interaction in the community," and has begun expanding into the "Accessory" category in July 2025 as the third phase of its brand partner collaborations with manufacturers and retailers across a variety of industries at its TSUTAYA, TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE, and TSUTAYA BOOKS locations across the country.
Starting in September 2024, CX will collaborate with manufacturers and retailers as brand partners for each of the various general merchandise categories it will strengthen, working on a new sales format that seamlessly distributes general merchandise and books tailored to the characteristics of each store across brand boundaries. The first wave of brand partner collaborations will be in the "Baby & Kids" and "Food" categories, while the second wave will be in the "Health," "Hobby," and "Living" categories, and will be rolled out in stores across the country.
We will begin expanding into the "Accessory" category as the third phase of this brand partnership collaboration, which combines the strengths of each brand, which offers proposals and high-quality products, with manufacturers and retailers from a variety of industries, making a wide variety of products easily available through TSUTAYA stores.
About the "Accessory" genre
In the "Accessory" category, we have a selection of handmade accessories run by storyteller Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Kentaro Shinbori). COTOMONO MARCHE" and Vacanza Accessory Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Xu Yizhi), a popular accessory brand with the largest share in Taiwan's low-priced accessory market. Vacanza Accessory" will be available at TSUTAYA Yokohama Minatomirai store from Saturday, July 19th.
The "Accessory" category offers the joy of adding color to your daily life by seamlessly combining the handmade accessories of "COTOMONO MARCHE," each with a different look, from simple, everyday items to unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, with "Vacanza Accessory," whose earrings, necklaces, rings and other designs are packed with Taiwanese pop and sophisticated flair.
Going forward, in the "Accessory" category, we will aim to expand the number of collaborative brands and stores nationwide, and also expand the number of brands and development in the collaborative categories in the first and second phases.
Through this initiative, CX will continue to combine its strengths, which are to operate stores across the country that are visited by a wide range of customers based on its ability to make proposals centered on bookstores, with the strengths of each brand, which has proposal-oriented and high-quality products, to create experiential bookstores where customers across the country can experience even more new discoveries and proposals, and will work with its partners to create stores that offer even more customer value than ever before.
