- The sixth TSUTAYA Trading Card specialty store in Japan -
Culture Experience Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichiro Kamaura; hereinafter referred to as "CX") will open its sixth TSUTAYA trading card specialty store nationwide, "TSUTAYA Trading Card Totsuka," on the 7th floor of "Totsuka Modi" in front of JR Totsuka Station on Friday, October 17, 2025.
This store will offer a space where women and children visiting "Totsuka Modi" in front of JR Totsuka Station, which brings together a variety of content based on the theme of experience, can enjoy trading cards (hereinafter "trading cards") safely and securely. With 68 seats for games and a stock of approximately 200,000 new and used cards, we offer a space where customers can enjoy trading cards more than ever before.
Trading cards are games that allow players to enjoy face-to-face battles, and after the COVID-19 pandemic, the market has expanded as content that can be enjoyed by a wide range of customers, regardless of age or gender, in addition to children and other younger generations. TSUTAYA began selling trading cards in earnest in 2018. Currently, we have trading card sales areas with game stations in approximately 180 stores nationwide (as of the end of March 2025), and we plan to continue expanding the number of stores with game stations that provide a place for customers to interact.
■About TSUTAYA Trading Card
"TSUTAYA Trading Card" aims to be an experiential store where customers can communicate with each other by providing free play areas that anyone can use and planning a number of official tournaments and store-specific events. The first store, TSUTAYA's first trading card specialty store, "TSUTAYA Trading Card Kinshicho," opened in December 2023.
We are focusing on holding competitive events, which are a unique experience that only a store can offer, allowing customers to communicate face-to-face. We hold over 200 events per month, and are used by a wide range of customers, including women, children, and beginners.
TSUTAYA will continue to propose opportunities for creating communities that arise from "experiences" through various items and events, including trading cards, and aims to create local interactions at TSUTAYA.
Features of "TSUTAYA Trading Card Totsuka"
1: A community-style store with 68 seats for matches
Located on the 7th floor of Totsuka Modi in front of JR Totsuka Station, this store has a bright and open space of approximately 200m2, with 68 seats for matches. Our clean, open, and safe store is a place where local residents, people stopping by after school or work, female customers, and even children can enjoy playing trading cards in peace. We aim to be a community-based store that fosters interaction among local customers by planning events for beginners and manufacturer-approved tournaments so that customers can interact with each other.
2. With approximately 200,000 items in stock, it has the largest selection in the Totsuka Station area.
We have a stock of approximately 200,000 new and used trading cards of various types. Browse our wide selection of cards to find the cards that will strengthen your deck for your next match. The store has four search machines that allow you to check product sales and purchase prices, making it easy to find the product you are looking for. We also accept purchases of used cards at the counter.
3. Make new friends through tournaments and events
We plan over 80 official tournaments and events for beginners each month. We offer a place where customers who love trading cards can communicate with each other and meet new friends through trading cards. When there are no tournaments or events being held, the match seating area is free to use for matches.

We will be holding a "Garapon Raffle" where you can enter one lottery for every 2,000 yen (tax included) spent on used products (up to three entries per person per transaction). Grand prizes include a box of brand new trading cards, five packs of brand new trading cards, and more.
