Megane Top Co., Ltd. / Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. / CCC MK HOLDINGS Co., Ltd.
- A store with an eye to the next generation has been born through collaboration between Megane Ichiba and the CCC Group -
Megane Top Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture; President and CEO: Masahiro Tomizawa; hereinafter referred to as "Megane Ichiba"), which operates Megane Ichiba nationwide, Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCC"), and CCC MK HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCC MK HOLDINGS") will reopen the Megane Ichiba LaLaport Tachikawa Tachihi Store (Tachikawa City, Tokyo) on Friday, November 21, 2025, as part of a joint venture between the three companies.
The issue facing the Megane Ichiba LaLaport Tachikawa Tachihi store was that the expected store entry rate was not being achieved despite the amount of foot traffic in front of the store. To address this issue, Megane Ichiba, CCC, and CCC MK HOLDINGS conducted a comprehensive analysis of purchasing data, including V POINT, customer surveys, and observations of customer movement, and identified the "factors that make customers hesitate to enter a store" and the "experience value desired from a store."
Based on the results of this analysis, we redesigned the store to create an experience that would naturally attract a wide range of generations, from young people to seniors, and make it easy to choose and compare glasses and find the perfect look.
Details of the initiative
Since starting a partnership with T-POINT (now known as V POINT) in 2016, Megane Ichiba and CCC MK HOLDINGS have been conducting database marketing through analysis of various data from V POINT.
With the aim of creating a next-generation store brand that would be popular with a wider range of generations, including young people, and that would enjoy long-term support, CCC joined forces with the three companies to renovate the Megane Ichiba LaLaport Tachikawa Tachihi Store.
Through customer data analysis, questionnaire surveys, and workshops with store staff, the store's issues and customer needs were identified, and the experiential value to be provided through "Megane Ichiba" was organized. As a result, the renewal concept was established as "Megane Ichiba, where you can find what suits you." After a process that included utilizing data to select products, store design by CCC, interior design, and supervision of fixtures and POP, a store design was completed that provides new experiential value never before seen in an eyeglass specialty store.
Key points of the renewal
1. Product development that lets you find what suits you
To express the concept of "Eyewear Market, where you can find what suits you," products that were previously displayed by brand will now be displayed by design (square, Wellington, Boston, etc.), offering a new store experience where customers can freely try on glasses from designs that suit them best and choose products based on their favorite brand and comfort.
2. A space designed to appeal to a wide range of customers
The interior of the store has been changed from its previous clean white-based interior to a spacious design that gives off the warmth of wood, ensuring comfortable flow of traffic and a sense of openness. Furthermore, we paid particular attention to materials and lighting to create an interior that combines warmth and quality. In addition, by creating a unified look for the fixtures and POPs in the store, we provide an environment where customers can concentrate on selecting products.
Future developments
Until now, Megane Ichiba has operated its stores with a unified concept, placing importance on making it easy for customers to recognize the store's appearance no matter where they are in the country, and making it easy to understand where things are located no matter which store they visit.
While maintaining its current concept, the company will design stores that focus on the ages and regional characteristics of people living in various regions. Data from before and after the renovation of the Megane Ichiba LaLaport Tachikawa Tachihi store will be analyzed to verify whether changes in customer behavior have occurred in line with the concept of "Megane Ichiba, where you can find glasses that suit you," and the company will develop stores that meet these needs.
