CCC MK HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (Head office: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCCMKHD") has introduced Dataiku as an integrated data analysis and AI development platform with the support of Dataiku Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and Country Manager: Sato Yutaka; hereinafter referred to as "Dataiku") and Nippon Steel Solutions Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tamaki Kazuhiko; hereinafter referred to as "NSSOL"). By streamlining routine analysis tasks and creating a self-service analysis environment for sales departments, we will strengthen data-driven decision-making support for client companies.
Background of introduction: Resolving structural issues in analytical work
CCCMKHD supports the marketing initiatives of client companies by utilizing purchasing and behavioral data from the V POINT Program, which has approximately 130 million members nationwide. However, there has been a disconnect between the human resources, tools, and data layers, which has led to the following challenges:
・Inefficiency caused by repeating the same analytical tasks (data extraction, visualization, model creation)
・Standardization and reuse of analytical processes is not progressing, and tasks are becoming more individualized, requiring individualized responses.
・Data analysts spend a lot of time on routine tasks, and are unable to devote sufficient time to the advanced analysis design and value creation themes that they should be focusing on.
To solve these issues, the company compared several platforms with the aim of standardizing analytical work, improving reusability, and expanding the scope of use of advanced analytics. As a result, the company decided to implement Dataiku.

Key points of change through the introduction of Dataiku
1. Rapid client response through self-service analytics completed by the sales department
By using AI agent and AI chat functions that utilize generative AI, we will create an environment where sales representatives can autonomously perform basic analysis such as the following:
-Analysis of purchasing trends for specific product categories
- Extraction of customer segments based on past campaign results and similar conditions
・Acquisition and visualization of basic data for creating proposal materials
This allows sales representatives to quickly obtain the insights they need, leading to faster and better decision-making.
2. Shifting data analysts to high-value-added work
Freed from routine tasks, data analysts can focus on more advanced analytical tasks, such as:
・Creating new analytical themes and verifying hypotheses
・Development and optimization of advanced AI/machine learning models
・Strategic proposal design for client companies' business issues
3. Standardization and automation of analytical work
Routine analytical tasks (such as extracting customer segments, analyzing purchasing patterns, and creating effectiveness measurement reports) are converted into workflows on Dataiku and organized into reusable templates. This will significantly reduce the time it takes to respond to similar cases, with the goal of improving productivity across all analytical work.
4. Organizational accumulation and utilization of knowledge
Past proposals, analysis logic, performance data, client feedback, and more are all centrally managed on Dataiku. The data lineage function ensures transparency in the analysis process and helps improve planning and proposal content. At the same time, by strengthening the reproducibility and governance of analysis results, we will improve the reliability of data utilization.
NSSOL implementation support and onboarding
For this implementation, NSSOL provided onboarding support for the introduction and establishment of Dataiku, as well as support for migration from the existing analysis environment.
・Formulate and execute a gradual migration plan from existing analytical environments (Python/R environments, BI tools, etc.) to Dataiku
・Dataiku certified engineers provide know-how on data analysis workflow design and AI agent development
・Support for setting up security governance (role-based access control, audit log management)
・Providing an onboarding program to enable CCCMKHD personnel to use the platform autonomously
Future developments
CCCMKHD plans to gradually expand its use of Dataiku, rolling it out company-wide, primarily in the consulting department, while also promoting the advancement of data utilization throughout the entire sales process. Based on our internal efforts, we will then aim to provide higher added-value decision-making support in the future, with an eye toward commercializing the business through the development of data utilization services and analytical solutions for client companies.
