Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Nagatake Masayuki; hereinafter referred to as "Tsuburaya Productions"), Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCC"), and Metafield Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Oshio Tadamasa) are launching a project to present the diverse world of "Ultra Monsters," Tsuburaya Productions' IP alongside "Ultraman," as a new art and culture experience. As the first step, the "Paradise of Kaiju" exhibition will be held at Ginza Tsutaya Books from Friday, April 10, 2026.
A co-creation project to create businesses in the lifestyle field using Japan's proud IP
This project is a collaboration between Tsuburaya Productions, which aims to expand its brand contact points and customer base by adapting its IP assets to the sophisticated lifestyle field, and CCC Art Lab, which aims to utilize intellectual capital through business co-creation with IP companies. The project will involve co-creation between IP and contemporary Japanese artists, focusing on the theme of "Ultra Monsters," an IP that Japan is proud of.
Expanding the significance of "Ultra Monsters" in modern society through the imagination of art
Tsuburaya Productions' monsters are unique creatures born from the imagination of Tsuburaya Productions, each with its own unique ecology, thoughts, and background story. Through the diverse existence of these "Ultra Monsters," Tsuburaya Productions hopes to convey the importance of the "power of imagination" and "mutual understanding with a wide variety of people," which are believed to be increasingly important in modern society.
CCC, which has been proposing new lifestyles to people with diverse values, agreed with this idea and will launch a joint project aimed at expanding the possibilities of "Ultra Monsters" through the power of art and creating new fans. By combining their respective strengths, the two companies hope to spread the appeal of monsters to "people who value their individuality, enjoy diverse values, and have an intellectual curiosity," and create a cultural movement.
"Paradise of Kaiju" co-created with female artists
The artist chosen for this project is Chihiro Nakahara, a female artist from Kyoto who is active overseas. The exhibition was titled "Paradise of Kaiju" and, under the supervision of Tsuburaya Productions, created a unique world where Ultra monsters coexist in various forms.
The "Paradise of Kaiju" exhibition is based on the idea that "somewhere unknown to humans, there is a world where aliens and monsters live. There is no one to persecute them, and they enjoy the freedom to live as they please. " is the setting for this collection of fantastical, narrative-rich artworks, brought to life by Nakahara's exceptional imagination.
Through this exhibition, we plan to hold the exhibition mainly at Tsutaya bookstores nationwide, in order to spread the value of the experience of allowing many people to easily experience art and culture. The planning and management of the art and culture experience will be handled jointly by CCC Art Lab, which handles a wide range of art-related projects at CCC, and Metafield, a member of the Tsuburaya Fields Group.
An exhibition will be held at Ginza TSUTAYA BOOKS from Friday, April 10, 2026.
As the first step in unveiling this project, an exhibition will be held at FOAM CONTEMPORARY, the art space at Ginza TSUTAYA BOOKS, from Friday, April 10th to Tuesday, April 28th. In addition to displaying Nakahara's original artwork, the exhibition will also feature a display of concept materials from Tsuburaya Productions, an immersive video installation experience, and original merchandise for sale.
