Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Takanori Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") opened its third "IP Bookstore," following those in Shibuya (Tokyo - SHIBUYA TSUTAYA) and Ebisubashi (Osaka - TSUTAYA EBISUBASHI), "Kyoto IP Books," which brings together leading IP entertainment content from Japan, on April 28, 2026 (Tuesday) on the 6th floor of Kyoto Takashimaya S.C. [T8] within "Kyoto Tsutaya Books."
"IP Books" is a store that primarily displays and sells original goods related to Japan's leading IP entertainment content, such as comics, anime, and VTubers (Virtual YouTubers). We offer a wide range of IP entertainment content that can only be purchased and experienced here, and as a space where fans can gather and connect, we are supported by many people, from core fans to tourists visiting Japan.
Kyoto, the new base for "IP Books," is known as one of Japan's leading "holy sites of IP culture," attracting numerous anime and game production companies, art universities, and creators. It is a city where tradition nurtured by history intersects with Japan's leading IPs, and it is attracting high expectations from tourists visiting Japan.
Going forward, Kyoto IP Books will create opportunities for encounters with new IPs and new worlds through a wide variety of goods related to IP entertainment content, as well as unique exhibits and products that blend Japanese aesthetics into their design and expression. From Kyoto, we will transmit the current state of Japanese IP to the world.

Through a variety of IP-related projects that change weekly and monthly, we aim to provide a space where you can enjoy new discoveries and encounters with things you "like" and "recommend" every time you visit "Kyoto IP Books". We have created a gallery space that features immersive large-scale exhibits and pop-up shops, and the layout is designed to allow visitors to experience the world of IP entertainment content in a three-dimensional way.
Through exhibits and presentations that reflect the unique appeal of each IP, we aim to deliver a store experience that will move you every time you visit.
Original goods born from the fusion of 2D IP and "Japanese style," available only here and now.
In addition to newly commissioned artwork, the store offers original goods that combine practicality and collectibility, including materials and designs incorporating traditional Kyoto techniques, and items created in collaboration with young creators. Through a curation unique to "IP Bookstore," which fuses 2D IP with a distinctly Japanese "Wa" sensibility, we propose new forms of expression and value to fans both domestically and internationally.

■ What is "IP Bookstore"?
"IP Books" will launch in April 2024 with the theme "Create your world with what you love."The first store (SHIBUYA TSUTAYA IP Bookstore: https://shibuyatsutaya.tsite.jp/ip-shoten/) opened on the 6th floor of "SHIBUYA TSUTAYA," which reopened with the theme of "[theme]," and the second store (TSUTAYA EBISUBASHI Osaka IP Books: http://tsutaya.jp/osaka_ip-shoten/) opened on the first basement floor of "TSUTAYA EBISUBASHI," the flagship store of "TSUTAYA" in Osaka, located in the heart of Ebisubashi, Osaka, in December 2024. The "Kyoto IP Books" opening on the 6th floor of "Kyoto Tsutaya Books" will be the third store.
"IP Books" is mainly composed of three areas: the "POP UP SHOP" which is updated monthly, the "IP100" suggestion corner, and the "Large-Scale POP UP" which displays large-scale exhibitions, and sells goods, comics, and other items. Many of the products sold are "IP Bookstore Original Limited Edition Products" produced by "IP Bookstore," offering a wide range of IP content that can only be purchased and experienced here, and enjoying support from a broad range of customers, from core fans to people overseas.
