-Starting this fall, you can earn and use T-Points at Mommy Mart!-
Mommy Mart Co., Ltd. (Head office: Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture; President and CEO: Hirofumi Iwasaki; hereinafter referred to as "Mommy Mart"), which operates the food supermarket chain "Mommy Mart" mainly in Saitama Prefecture, and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "TPJ"), which operates Japan's largest shared points service "T Points", are pleased to announce that they have signed a T Point Program Agreement and will be introducing the T Point service at Mommy Mart stores from this fall.
As a result, starting this fall, customers who use Mommy Mart or who already have a T Card will be able to earn T Points for purchases at Mommy Mart, and these accumulated T Points can be used for shopping at Mommy Mart.
Mommy Mart has been operating a supermarket chain based in Saitama Prefecture since its founding in 1958. Currently, the store network has expanded to 67 stores in Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, and Tochigi prefectures, and the company is promoting community-based management, focusing on fresh food such as fresh fish, meat, vegetables, and prepared foods.
As of the end of April 2014, TPJ's shared points service "T Points" was held by 48.54 million people (active members who have used a T Card in the past year, and unique members who hold multiple cards are counted as one person), which is one in three people in Japan. In Saitama Prefecture, 3.81 million people, or 53% of the prefecture's residents, use a T Card. In addition, there are 110 T-Point partner companies and 69,846 stores, and T-Points can be used in a wide range of areas closely related to daily life, including TSUTAYA, ENEOS, FamilyMart, Three F, Gusto, Kitamura Camera, Doutor Coffee Shop, Autobacs, Yahoo! Shopping, and Nissen.
Through this agreement, Mommy Mart and TPJ aim to improve customer satisfaction based on a new CRM (Customer Relationship Management) strategy for Mommy Mart customers, and will also implement advantageous and convenient measures that will encourage new store visits for existing T Card holders in their 20s and 30s.
Further details about the T-Point service at Mommy Mart will be announced at a later date when the service begins.
