50million.jpgSince the launch of its service in 2003, T Point Japan has used its own definition of the number of members as "active unique members," which counts active members who have used a T Card in the past year, and unique members who hold multiple T Cards as one person, excluding duplicates.
The number of members calculated using this definition, 50 million, accounts for approximately 40% of Japan's total population. Furthermore, of these 50 million, 35 million use T Points in their daily lives on a monthly basis, and 20 million use them on a weekly basis.

The number of T-Point affiliated stores, both real-world and online, currently exceeds 230,000, and it continues to expand daily as Japan's largest shared points service, which can be used in a wide range of areas closely related to daily life, including TSUTAYA, ENEOS, FamilyMart, Three F, Gusto, Kitamura Camera, Maruetsu, Welcia, Aoyama Clothing, Yahoo! Shopping, and SoftBank mobile phones.
Meanwhile, the T Card, which allows users to accumulate and use T Points, a common points service, has evolved over the past few years into a service that goes beyond the realm of a point card, including not only the traditional TSUTAYA membership card and credit card, but also library cards, collaborations with artists and characters, and ID functions for smart check-in.

T Point Japan will continue to create new value that satisfies and is supported by a wide range of generations, men and women, young and old, through T Points and T Cards, which serve as a cultural infrastructure that brings joy and happiness to people and the world, and provide it to society, aiming to be a partner that creates a bright future for companies and customers.

Special campaign details for October 1st to celebrate reaching 50 million users

To commemorate the number of T members surpassing 50 million, and as a token of our appreciation to all T members, we will be running a campaign in which 5,000 people will be selected by lottery from those who present their T card or register/apply on Wednesday, October 1st, 2014, the same day as T points were launched on October 1st, and who use T point partner stores (for purchases, etc.) in a state that allows them to accumulate T points. The total points awarded for purchases made on Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 will be multiplied by 1,000. No advance entry is required. Winners will be notified at the end of November.
