- Earn T points at shopping malls in Thailand! -

T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan") has signed a points program agreement with The Mall Group (Bangkok, Thailand; hereinafter referred to as "Mall Group"), a Thai mall group, and will begin full-scale provision of the T Point service at shopping malls operated by The Mall Group from June 1, 2015.

According to the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), the number of Japanese tourists to Thailand in 2014 reached 1.26 million, making it the fourth most popular overseas destination for Japanese people in Asia after China, South Korea, and Taiwan. In this environment, T Point Japan is working to expand the environment in which T Points can be used in various aspects of life overseas, and currently provides T Point services in South Korea, Guam, Jakarta, Bali, and Hawaii, with Thailand being the sixth city.

Through this partnership, T-Card holders can earn T-Points according to the amount of their purchases when they go through the designated procedures when shopping at The Emporium, Siam Paragon, and The EmQuartier, large luxury shopping malls operated by the Mall Group in Bangkok, Thailand.

These three shopping malls are located in the Sukhumvit and Siam Square districts, which are popular with Japanese tourists, and are highly convenient areas for shopping in Bangkok, so there are high expectations that T Card holders will use them for shopping.

T Point Japan will continue to promote the expansion of services so that T Cards can be used in countries where Japanese people visit, and will provide its 53.46 million T Members with a highly satisfying shopping experience that can be realized with just one T Card, both in Japan and overseas.

Mall Group T Point Service Overview

・Service launch date: Full-scale service begins on Monday, June 1, 2015
・Target facilities: "The Emporium," "Siam Paragon," and "The EmQuartier"
・Applicable services: Shopping in the department store area and gourmet market area of each facility is eligible. *The department store area of "The EmQuartier" is not eligible (as of June 2015)
・T-point award rate: 1 point for every 200 yen spent
・T Point usage rate: 400 points = 100 baht, 100 baht or more in 100 baht increments *Exchange rate of 1 baht = 4 yen (as of June 2015)
How to use: Present your shopping receipt and T-Card at the T-Point counter in the Customer & Tourist Service Center located within each facility to receive T-Points. If you wish to use T Points, please apply at the T Point counter at the Customer Tourist Service Center before making a purchase and we will issue you a coupon in 100 baht increments.
