- Aiming to contribute to a better society by utilizing data -
CCC Marketing Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuhiko Kitamura; hereinafter referred to as "CCCMK"), a CCC Group company engaged in database marketing business, will host "DATA DEMOCRACY DAYS" (hereinafter referred to as "DDD"), an open innovation project that will widely open up opportunities to access T-Card data and create lifestyle plans that lead to better, more prosperous lives.
With the rapid spread of smartphones and the advancement of information technologies such as IoT and AI, we are entering an information society in which our daily lives are undergoing major changes based on data. We are moving away from an era in which all the information generated by these individuals and machines is utilized for traditional corporate marketing, to an era in which it is returned to society and utilized to bring about a better society and a richer life.
Fifteen years have passed since the launch of the T-Point service, and it has now grown to the point where one in two people in Japan uses it. In an era in which the world is undergoing a major transformation toward an information-based society, CCCMK believes it is its social responsibility as a company to give back to society and consumers the T Card data entrusted to it by its customers, and has therefore decided to implement "DDD."
"DDD" is a project that asks the question, "Can data make people and the world more fun and happy?" and invites working adults and students who are interested in creating new projects, businesses, and services to participate. The participants themselves will create projects while interacting with data. We will work to promote the best businesses and services created through this project as actual services.
By promoting this project to society, CCCMK aims to contribute to a better society by utilizing data, and to create and rediscover new value in data.

■Recruitment period: January 22, 2018 (Monday) to February 12, 2018 (Monday, holiday)
■ Venue: Shibuya Garden Tower, 16-17 Nanpeidai-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo
■Data and assets to be provided:
Data: Purchasing data (ID-POS data) from 65 million T members, etc.
Assets: T-points, rewards, etc.
*This does not include information that can identify a specific T member.
■Prize:
・Grand Prize: 3 million yen
*If there are any other excellent projects, we will also award them.
* There may be cases where an entry does not meet the judging criteria and is therefore not eligible for an award.
■Handling of customer information:
The customer information handled in this project will not include names or telephone numbers, T Member numbers will be encrypted so that they cannot be restored, and the project will be carried out within the scope of the intended use of the T Member Terms and Conditions. CCC Marketing will enter into a confidentiality agreement with participants and entrust them with handling the information for the duration of the project. Participants in this initiative will use information provided by CCC Marketing to statistically analyze data, discover new trends and logic, and create lifestyle plans that lead to better, more fulfilling lives.
