TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM FILM 2022 (TCP2022), a program sponsored by Culture Entertainment Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Nakanishi Kazuo; hereinafter referred to as CE) and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. to discover film plans and creators, will begin accepting applications for the three categories of "Planning," "Direction," and "Scriptwriting" from Friday, April 1st.

"TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM FILM (commonly known as TCP)" is a video planning and creator discovery program in which Culture Entertainment and TSUTAYA back the winning works with a total production budget and production structure of over 50 million yen.
TCP 2022 will be the 7th time the event has been held, and like the previous event, entries will be accepted in three categories: Planning, Directing, and Screenwriting. The application period will run from Friday, April 1st to Tuesday, May 31st (※).
Since its inception in 2015, the awards have included Nakae Kazuhito's "A Woman Who Loves Lies" (released January 2018/1st Grand Prix), Katagiri Kenji's "Room Laundering" (released July 2018/1st Runner-up), Hakodate Yuko's "Blowing Away at Blue Hour" (released October 2019/2nd Special Jury Prize), Young Paul's "Ghost Master" (released December 2019/2nd Runner-up), Dobashi Akihiro's "Flight on the Water" (released November 2020/3rd Special Jury Prize), Watanabe Ryohei's "Aishu Cinderella" (released February 2021/2nd Grand Prix), Kato Takuya's "Ura Aka" (released April 2021/1st Runner-up), and Horie Takahiro's "Sensei, Could You Please Sit Next to Me?" A total of nine winning films will be released in theaters, including "The Great Passage" (released September 2021/4th Runner-up), and "My Daddy" directed by Junichi Kanai (released September 2021/2nd Runner-up). Furthermore, this year in 2022, director Kataoka Sho's "This Child is Evil" (starring Minami Sara), which was selected as the runner-up in the third competition, will be released nationwide.

Recruitment category and application method:
▼ "Planning Department"
Applications can be made with just a proposal. The winning project will be adapted into a film by CE and TSUTAYA.
▼“Supervision Department”
Along with the proposal, please submit a previous work that shows your directing style, or a pilot video based on that proposal. The winner will be required to film the project and, in principle, to participate as the director of the film.
▼"Screenplay Department"
Please submit a proposal along with a script based on that proposal. The winner will be required to adapt the project into a film and, in principle, participate as the screenwriter for the work.

About the TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM (commonly known as TCP)
TCP is a program established with the aim of giving shape to the ideas and hopes of film fans and creators who say, "I have a plan for a film I want to make, but I don't know how to make it a reality," or "I have no place to share the work I shoot."CE and TSUTAYA will provide support for the total production costs and production structure to turn the winning works from the proposals submitted by both professional and amateur artists into films, and the completed works will not only be released in theaters but will also be available for rental and sale as original works at TSUTAYA stores nationwide and TSUTAYA DISCAS.
