CCC MK HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (Head office: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi ) is working on a co-creation platform called "V Everyone's Ethical Food Lab" (https://ethicalfoodlab.tsite.jp/Based on the knowledge gained from the Food Sustainability Forum 2024 held in 2024, the Food Sustainability Forum 2025 will be launched to examine how to communicate the appeal of ethical products so that consumers can empathize with them and be led to purchase them.
As the first step, we will be holding a demonstration experiment, the "Ethical Food Fair," at Daikanyama T-Site (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) from Friday, October 10th to Thursday, October 16th, 2025.
The Food Sustainability Forum 2024 revealed that Japanese consumers rarely choose ethical products based on their "social value" alone, and that promoting ethical products in relation to the value of the food itself, such as deliciousness, enjoyment, quality, health, and brand value, increases purchasing motivation.
Based on this knowledge, the Food Sustainability Forum 2025 will examine how ethical products can be presented on the sales floor so that they are perceived as valuable by consumers and lead to purchases, including through product POP and creative design. In this demonstration experiment, the ethical food standard "Food Evaluation" (https://ethicalfoodlab.tsite.jp/project1/), the following seven themes will be covered. In addition, before starting the pilot project, we prepared multiple messages for each of the seven ethical themes that linked the ethical value of the products to their value to consumers. Based on this, a survey will be conducted among 2,000 consumers, and the message that resonates most with them will be selected and used in in-store POP displays at the Ethical Food Fair.

The Food Sustainability Forum 2025 will include the participation of a diverse range of industry partners, with plans to expand the participation in the forum in the future. Through cross-industry collaboration with food manufacturers, distributors, IT solutions, and others, we will continue to create an ethical food market and explore "ethical value for consumers."

In the first demonstration experiment, 22 products related to seven ethical themes will be displayed in stores at Daikanyama T-SITE, and will be sold together with messages that resonate with consumers to verify changes in purchasing behavior. Following the demonstration at Daikanyama T-SITE, the company plans to roll out similar initiatives to regular supermarkets.
CCC MK HOLDINGS will work with all stakeholders involved in food, including consumers, manufacturers, and distributors, to promote ethical food in society and contribute to creating a sustainable food cycle that will connect to the future through the activities of "V Everyone's Ethical Food Lab."
