Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. / Aqua Ignis Co., Ltd. / Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd.
Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Atsushi Nakajima), Aqua Ignis Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Tetsuya Tachibana), and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Yasunori Takahashi) have grand opened "Karuizawa T-SITE," a new commercial facility at the north exit of Karuizawa Station, today, March 17th (Tuesday).
This facility is located on land owned by Shinano Railway Co., Ltd., and was developed using the former Shin'etsu Main Line railway tracks that were abandoned following the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen in 1997. Mitsubishi Estate will lease the site and develop a commercial facility directly connected to the Karuizawa Station pedestrian walkway. Aqua Ignis and Culture Convenience Club will be responsible for operating the hot spring facilities, accommodations, restaurants, retail stores, and other facilities. The three companies will deepen their collaboration with the local community through "Karuizawa T-SITE" and contribute to promoting and revitalizing the appeal of Karuizawa, and indeed the entire Shinshu region.

Based on the concept of "a gateway that showcases and allows visitors to experience the essence of Shinshu, stimulating their curiosity," this facility will feature a Shinshu experience zone with local Shinshu shops, as well as a hot spring facility and accommodation to soothe travel fatigue, and a total of 17 shops, including restaurants making their first appearance in the prefecture. Based on the three themes of "eating," "spending time," and "relaxing," this facility offers new value to Karuizawa and is full of experiences that stimulate the five senses of adults.
With the theme of "eating" that will "tickle" the stomachs of visitors, the event will feature popular sweets shops such as "LE CHOCOLAT DE H," a chocolatier by Hiroshi Tsujiguchi, and "I'm donut?", which is making its first appearance in the Koshinetsu region, as well as a diverse lineup of brands including the wine shop "aVin stand Karuizawa."In addition, renowned restaurants showcasing masterful craftsmanship, such as "Kasa-an Sanpi Ryōron" and "Dashio Kume," will be opening their first branches in Karuizawa.
The facility includes "AQUAIGNIS GARDEN SPA," a hot spring facility offering saunas in an open outdoor space, which is the first of its kind in the Koshinetsu region; "HACIENDA KARUIZAWA," a hotel with 9 rooms supervised by The Conran Shop; and "SHARE LOUNGE," the first of its kind in Nagano Prefecture. It is a facility that can be used for a wide range of occasions, whether for leisure or business. As a new landmark in Karuizawa, we will showcase the unique character of Shinshu (Nagano Prefecture).
